Specifically to JayHawk, Benjamin, and CB for being a dick/asshole/dumbass. Really guys, I was wrong.
On to the venting: Today I almost had a crash.
I was coming out of work , and as usual I was turning left. Now that might not seem significant, but South Carolina doesn’t believe in the left turn light. At this intersection, you have two facing lanes with a right turn lane and a left turn/go straight lane. Due to the traffic backing up because of the lack of
common sense
lights, you kind of just go when you have a chance or just run the red light(which you sometimes have to do or you will continue to sit there for hours). Well today I am at the line, and I see a car in the right lane slowing down, so I ASSUME they are turning right. This gives me just enough time to go... Or so I thought. I get to the point where I turn my wheel and she speeds up and goes straight. I have to panic stop to miss her by inches, and after she passes she lays on her horn. The entire afternoon I have thought that I almost hit a car due to negligence(hence my shitty mood), because I originally thought her lane went straight as well. But while I admit I could have paid more attention, after a quick look at Google maps, I’ve discovered she was just a fucking impatient piece of shit. She apparently decided she didn’t want to wait in line any more, then proceeded to use the right turn lane to cut through traffic illegally. I still feel bad about nearly getting into a wreck, and will definitely be paying more attention though. But this wouldn’t be a problem if SCDOT didn’t hire a guy to specifically ruin peoples day. There are a list of traffic related jokes in this state, but almost none involve the drivers.

Compared to what I was used to, they are very good(And I see a lot of drivers due to my job having me drive all over the state daily). But there is always a shitty driver somewhere. But a lot of the videos involving traffic lights, intersections, and merging/exiting on the interstate are more the fault of shitty design.
